A Mother’s Village, Inc (AMV) is an Arizona Non-Profit with Federal 501(c)3 tax exempt status. AMV caters to the underserved and undervalued single mother population of Maricopa County. AMV’s mission is to assist the single mother with skill/job training, financial literacy and educational scholarships.
A Mother’s Village, Inc. chooses to assist single mothers with education and training per empirical evidence that there is a positive correlation between educational level and income.
As the mother’s education and skill set increases, so will her ability to maintain her fiduciary responsibility to her household without government or other outside assistance. Her children will also be more apt to pursue higher education directly after high school, which will in turn break the cycle of poverty.
AMV also provides programs and seminars for children of single mothers. We believe the more exposure and training that this underserved population receives, the more able these children are able to become successful adults.
AMV's goal is to provide a Hand UP and not a Hand OUT.
